GROUT VERSUS POLYURETHANE

CONCRETE RAISING FOR VOID FILLING

Void filling is the processes of displacing empty spaces under concrete surfaces with a material that is more durable than the previous material. There are many different types of material that can be used depending on the requirements of the application. (See sidebar on the Grout vs. Polyurethane debate).

Void filling contractors will typically price a job based on the estimated amount of material needed to fill the void. To obtain an accurate quote, the contractor will need to know the approximate depth of the void to calculate the amount of material required. SABER Raising uses only environmentally safe, earth-based mixtures that have no “polyurethane” chemicals that could harm the environment. Ask your representative for a Materials Data & Specification Sheet and compare the properties of ESL to any alternative. ESL is harder, sets faster and is more durable than other materials.

ESL - 80 primarily very small aggregate with high compressive strength.

ESL - 500 fine aggregate with 2% cement for added compressive strength.

ESL - 2500 fine aggregate with 5% cement added for high compressive strength

Custom - a variety of custom additives available for custom applications
