| ETCHING | |
Etching describes changing the top layer or surface of the concrete. This is usually done in preparation for a coating. Any number or combination of methods can be used to etch the surface of concrete, such as scarifying, shotblasting, grinding and even non-mechanical means such as acids. Etching is usually described as "light", "medium" or "heavy" and describes how much concrete is being removed from the surface and the final appearance. |
